U.S. Xpress Logistics needed to streamline submission and imaging of carrier paperwork—rate confirmations, proof-of-delivery, invoices and accessorials—that arrived by mail, fax and email and slowed billing and carrier payments. To standardize and automate the process, U.S. Xpress Logistics deployed Transflo’s TRANSFLO $Velocity (building on its existing TRANSFLO document-management infrastructure) so carriers could submit documents electronically from PCs or smartphones.

With Transflo’s solution, scanned documents appear in seconds for immediate billing and settlement, reducing manual scanning and indexing and accelerating cash flow. U.S. Xpress Logistics processed about 500 TRANSFLO $Velocity transactions per month soon after launch and aims to grow to over 2,500/month—driving faster carrier payments, lower DSO, increased back-office efficiency, and expected cost savings that will help offset future staffing needs.
