Braun’s Express, a regional carrier specializing in flooring distribution, was hampered by an antiquated, manual back-office workflow that required employees to photocopy, match and retrieve bills of lading and proofs-of-delivery (PODs)—a process that effectively amounted to a full-time job. Transflo implemented an end-to-end document imaging and Rendition Print solution that generates delivery paperwork, freight bills and invoices, moved Braun’s from carbon dot-matrix forms to laser-printed perforated receipts with bill-of-lading images, and enabled customers to retrieve PODs online. The result was faster processing, fewer customer inquiries, lower printing costs and HR efficiencies—Braun’s eliminated the dedicated paperwork-matching role, reassigned two to three employees, and now operates with a smaller support staff thanks to Transflo.
