Halvor Lines Inc., a long-established carrier with a 500+ truck fleet, faced the industry-wide mandate to replace AOBRDs with ELDs ahead of the December 2019 deadline. To lower costs and boost efficiency while managing a large-scale technology and training effort, Halvor leaned on Transflo, having already used Transflo’s mobile scanning app for document workflows since 2016 and beginning a fleetwide rollout of Transflo ELDs in May 2018.

Transflo supplied ELD hardware/software, training resources and hands-on account support (notably from Barbara Evans) to complete the migration; as a result every truck in Halvor’s 500+ fleet now uses Transflo ELDs. Halvor reports improved communication, operational efficiency and cost savings from the combined use of Transflo ELDs and mobile scanning, with Transflo’s training and support cited as key to the successful implementation.
