MSAD 27 in Fort Kent, ME Utilizes Transfinder’s Routefinder Pro Solutions to Manage Their Pupil Transportation Department Efficiently and Safely

MSAD 27, a rural school district in Fort Kent, Maine, transports 700 of its 900 students and manages 17 school buses across 151,000 school bus miles per year. To improve routing, scheduling, and planning while working with limited resources, the district chose Transfinder’s Routefinder Pro through the State Transportation Operations Program.

With support from Transfinder training and technical services, along with help from neighboring districts, MSAD 27 set up Routefinder Pro before the 2016-17 school year. The district says it is already better informed about student stops and pick-up times, can analyze routes annually, and has confirmed its routes are efficient for its rural area. Transfinder also helped make the rollout smooth, and the district expects further benefits in data-driven decision making, organization, and emergency communication.
