A Trane Commercial Case Study
Wyomissing Area School District in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, wanted to reduce electricity supply costs as part of a broader energy plan. With its existing variable index contract nearing expiration, the district needed a way to secure the best possible rate, gain budget certainty, and better manage the complexity of the energy procurement market. To help, the district worked with Trane Commercial, using Trane Energy Supply Services and Trane® Energy Choice.
Trane Commercial reviewed the district’s existing electricity supply contract, issued an RFP to pre-qualified suppliers, and negotiated directly to secure the best pricing and terms. The new three-year contract reduced market risk, lowered the district’s kWh price, and delivered savings of 3.8 percent, or about $6,300 per year. Trane Commercial also continues to provide contract management support to help the district optimize savings over time.
