Wyoming City Schools - Customer Case Study

Wyoming City Schools, a district serving nearly 2,000 students in Wyoming, Ohio, needed to improve aging facilities that lacked air conditioning, had outdated and unreliable HVAC systems, and no security cameras. The district wanted to create a safer, more comfortable learning environment while finding a way to fund the needed upgrades responsibly. Trane Commercial was selected to help address these challenges, including HVAC and building controls improvements.

Trane Commercial delivered a turnkey upgrade using a dual-funding approach through Ohio House Bill 264 and the Ohio State Term Schedule, along with HVAC equipment, installation, and Trane Tracer ES™ building automation controls. The project added cooling to the elementary schools, improved indoor air quality, and simplified facilities management and maintenance. The State of Ohio approved approximately $81,000 in annual energy savings, while the district also reduced service costs, improved reliability, and reported fewer heat-related student absences.
