Washington Fruit & Produce sought to create a new energy-efficient headquarters with a unique aesthetic that concealed typical mechanical systems. To meet this challenge, they worked with Trane Commercial and its partners to design an HVAC solution for a building with an underfloor mechanical system and specific wireless control needs.

Trane implemented a system featuring a Performance Climate Changer air handler, a Tracer SC+ building automation system, and Air-Fi wireless technology. This solution preserved the building's aesthetics by eliminating conduit and wires, provided reliable and efficient comfort control, and reduced installation time and costs. The customer reported that the wireless controls are working well and the solution was so successful that the mechanical contractor reused the approach on another project with Trane's support.
