Uinta County School District #1 partnered with Trane Commercial to tackle aging, inefficient building systems that were driving up repair and energy costs across seven schools and administrative facilities. The district also needed a way to fund major upgrades while improving classroom comfort and overall learning conditions.

Trane Commercial implemented a performance contract using energy analysis, measurement and verification, and a range of efficiency upgrades, including boiler replacements, lighting retrofits, VFDs, controls modernization, a Tracer ES building automation system, and plumbing improvements. The project delivered more than $190,000 in annual energy savings, over $125,000 in utility rebates at startup, and an expected $290,000-plus in non-energy savings over nine years.
