Trinity United Methodist Church, a long-established church in Lincoln, Nebraska, needed a better way to control humidity in four of its eight daycare rooms at its new location. After a dehumidifier failed to solve the problem, the church worked with Trane Commercial and its project mechanical engineer to find a more effective comfort solution.

Trane Commercial replaced the existing single-stage units with two Trane Axiom water-source heat pumps featuring eFlex variable-speed technology, along with Tracer UC400 unit controllers. The upgrade resolved the humidity issues, made the daycare environment more comfortable and quieter, and was projected to cut utility costs by up to 60% versus conventional water-source heat pumps; Trinity United Methodist Church also received a $1,500 electric company rebate.
