The Center - Customer Case Study

The Center, a Tulsa-based nonprofit serving children and adults with mobility, dexterity, or sensory disabilities, was struggling with inconsistent temperatures throughout its 35,000-square-foot facility. Its HVAC and building controls were managed offsite, making it difficult to quickly adjust conditions for comfort, special events, or energy savings. The Center turned to Trane Commercial for help, seeking better control and more reliable indoor environments for its members.

Trane Commercial evaluated the existing HVAC system, replaced failing VAV units, and implemented a Trane Tracer SC building automation system to bring controls in-house. The new platform gave The Center web-based access, scheduling, monitoring, and easier response to comfort issues and alarms. As a result, The Center improved building comfort and control while achieving a 55 percent reduction in gas bills and a 3 percent electricity savings within six months.
