A Trane Commercial Case Study
Rock Creek Unified School District 323, located in Westmoreland, Kansas, needed to address outdated and inefficient HVAC systems that were driving up maintenance and energy costs while hurting the learning environment. The district’s aging equipment, especially at Westmoreland Elementary, was noisy, unreliable, and made it difficult for students to hear teachers. Trane Commercial was brought in to help with an energy-saving upgrade project.
Trane Commercial implemented HVAC, lighting, plumbing, window, and building automation system upgrades, including high-efficiency chillers, heat pumps, digital controls, and Tracer Summit BAS software. The improvements boosted comfort and reliability across the district and are expected to save about $154,000 annually in electricity, water, gas, and operating costs.
