Robertson County - Customer Case Study

Robertson County, Tennessee, faced aging HVAC equipment across 14 government buildings, inefficient building controls, and comfort issues in its historic courthouse due to a failing building envelope. Trane Commercial worked with county officials to evaluate energy use and identify needed infrastructure upgrades, using a guaranteed performance contracting approach from the Trane Building Advantage portfolio.

Trane Commercial implemented a range of energy conservation measures, including window and door replacement at the courthouse, lighting and plumbing upgrades, HVAC equipment improvements, new thermostats, and a Trane Tracer SC building automation system. The result was more than 1.5 million kWh and 46,000 therms in reduced energy consumption, more than $200,000 in first-year energy savings, and over $8,000 in operational and maintenance savings, all without increasing taxpayer burden.
