Ozarks Technical Community College - Customer Case Study

Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) was facing aging HVAC equipment, an obsolete controls platform, rising maintenance and utility costs, and very limited visibility into energy use across its nine-building main campus. The college worked with Trane Commercial to identify a solution that would address deferred maintenance while improving energy management, reliability, and operational control.

Trane Commercial replaced aging rooftop units with Trane IntelliPak systems, upgraded the campus-wide controls with Tracer SC and Tracer Ensemble, added sub-metering, and implemented Trane Intelligent Services including Energy Assessment, Building Performance, and Energy Performance. The result was a significant reduction in electricity usage, with projected first-year savings of $200,000, or about 20% in electricity costs, while improving comfort, system performance, and maintenance efficiency.
