Osseo Area Schools - Customer Case Study

Osseo Area Schools, a large K-12 district in Maple Grove, MN, faced aging and unreliable boilers at two elementary schools, along with an obsolete controls system that lacked scheduling and monitoring capabilities. Under tight funding and construction deadlines, the district needed a faster procurement path to complete critical HVAC upgrades. Trane Commercial, working through TCPN, was selected to help deliver the project efficiently.

Trane Commercial implemented a turnkey solution that included replacing steam boilers with condensing hot water boilers, adding hot water heaters, piping, pumps, coils, and valves, upgrading VAV units and lighting, and installing a Trane® Tracer SC™ BAS with Air-Fi™ wireless controls. The result was a streamlined procurement process completed in two weeks instead of the normal eight, allowing Osseo Area Schools to meet deadlines, expand the project scope, choose desired brands and local vendors, and improve building management and comfort.
