Nationwide Grocery Chain needed a single-source provider to manage HVACR and total-building maintenance across 84 grocery stores in 20 states, with strict requirements for 24/7 service, a two-hour emergency response, qualified subcontractors, and detailed reporting. Trane Commercial, working with Nelson Refrigeration, was selected to support the chain’s managed services program, including preventive maintenance, on-call repairs, and minor construction projects.

Trane Commercial and Nelson implemented a centrally managed 24/7/365 facilities maintenance solution with field technicians, call dispatch, contract management, and data management through Comfortsite. The 41-store pilot was successful, improving facilities performance and reducing operating and capital expenses, which led the customer to expand the program to 43 additional stores in 11 states.
