Trane Commercial worked with a luxury Manhattan auto dealership facing a failing building automation system that required manual operation of its equipment, leading to wasted energy and rising costs. The challenge was to restore reliability, reduce expenses, and ensure compliance with New York City's Local Law 97.

Trane implemented a complete building automation system upgrade using Tracer Ensemble and Tracer SC+ controllers to automate and optimize all building systems. The solution saved over 1 million kWh of electricity annually, secured $652,575 in utility incentives, and positioned the facility to avoid $84,786 per year in fines. The project paid for itself in 1.1 years and was named the 2025 Energy Project of the Year.
