A Trane Commercial Case Study
Keeneland, the Lexington, KY racetrack and Thoroughbred auction company, needed to replace its aging, text-based building controls system before it reached the end of its useful life. The outdated system was still functional, but replacement parts were no longer available for the main building control panels, and Keeneland wanted a more modern, reliable solution that would fit budget constraints. Trane Commercial provided the Trane Tracer™ R’newal™ controls upgrade service.
Trane Commercial implemented a phased upgrade that reused existing unit controllers on equipment slated for future replacement while installing new Tracer Summit® building control units, updated software, improved graphics, and better communications. The result was an integrated system with Internet access and enterprise-wide visibility and control through Tracer ES™ software. Keeneland was able to upgrade the Grand Stand controls for about the same cost originally planned for only a partial upgrade, while improving comfort, productivity, and operational efficiency.
