Kansas State University Alumni Association worked with Trane Commercial to address aging HVAC equipment and controls in its 55,000-square-foot Alumni Center. The 15-year-old systems were increasing operational risk, driving up costs, and making it harder to maintain comfort, air quality, and efficient facility operations.

Trane Commercial implemented a building automation system upgrade using Trane BAS R’newal and ongoing energy management services through Trane Intelligent Services. The upgrade gave staff mobile access, better monitoring, and improved control of HVAC systems, while wireless CO2 sensors and energy optimization measures helped reduce energy use; the result was more than 18% in energy savings, along with lower operating costs and improved comfort and system functionality.
