Hilton Anatole Hotel cuts energy use 25% with Trane Commercial

The Hilton Anatole Hotel faced a challenge with its two aging chiller plants, which had become inefficient and unreliable, leading to escalating energy and maintenance costs. The hotel sought to upgrade its systems to reduce expenses, take advantage of utility incentives, and improve guest comfort through better temperature, humidity, and indoor air quality. They selected Trane Commercial as their partner for this project.

Trane Commercial implemented a multi-phase solution that included installing new high-efficiency CenTraVac chillers, a Tracer Summit building automation system, and innovative configurations like series flow and free cooling. The results were substantial, with the project achieving an annual energy savings of over 14 million kWh, a peak electrical reduction of 1,764 kW, and over $1.1 million in utility incentives. The upgrade also earned the hotel a U.S. Regional Corporate Energy Management Award and resulted in a 25 percent reduction in energy use.
