Hilton Anatole Hotel - Customer Case Study

Hilton Anatole Hotel, a premier 1,620-room hotel in Dallas with extensive meeting, dining, laundry, and event facilities, faced aging, inefficient, and unreliable chiller plants that were driving up energy and maintenance costs. The hotel also wanted to improve comfort, humidity control, and indoor air quality while taking advantage of local utility incentives. Trane Commercial was selected as the project partner to help address these challenges with upgraded chiller and controls solutions.

Trane Commercial implemented phased chiller plant upgrades, including high-efficiency Trane CenTraVac chillers, variable frequency drives, and a Tracer Summit building automation system to optimize HVAC operations across the property. In a second phase, Trane reconfigured the chiller plants for series flow, added heat recovery and free cooling, and converted pumping to variable primary flow. The project delivered more than 14 million kWh in annual savings, avoided over 20 million pounds of CO2 emissions per year, reduced peak demand by 1,764 kW, and earned $1.136 million in utility incentives, with an additional $168,835 incentive tied to the Phase II upgrade.
