Delta Hotel, part of Delta Hotels and Resorts in Fredericton, New Brunswick, faced a major HVAC challenge when a compressor failed in one of its 20-plus-year-old rooftop air conditioning units. Instead of simply replacing the compressor in an aging system, the hotel worked with Trane Commercial to evaluate whether a full rooftop unit replacement would deliver better reliability and efficiency.

Trane Commercial recommended an IntelliPak II™ replacement rooftop unit that fit the existing roof curb, helping minimize installation costs and downtime. The new unit was delivered, installed, and operational the same day—arriving at 10:30 a.m. and cooling the lobby by 3:30 p.m.—and was later integrated with the hotel’s building automation system. The upgrade improved temperature and static air pressure control, simplified monitoring, and reduced the risk of future unplanned maintenance and energy waste.
