Cushman & Wakefield at Polaris Parkway in Westerville, Ohio needed a better way to manage building operations, control energy costs, and improve tenant comfort. Working with Trane Commercial, the property team sought to replace manual building management with a more efficient controls and energy management approach, including a Trane Tracer SC building automation system and related services.

Trane Commercial implemented the Tracer SC building automation system along with Trane Intelligent Services Building Performance to optimize scheduling, monitor equipment, and uncover energy-saving opportunities. The upgrades helped Cushman & Wakefield cut annual electricity use by more than 225,500 kWh, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 10 percent, lower comfort complaints by 30 percent, and achieve about $20,000 in yearly energy savings plus $35,000 in avoided service costs.
