CoreSite, a leading provider of data centers, faced the challenge of designing a new facility to a higher level of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility while maintaining their strict standards for reliability and security. To accomplish this, they partnered with Trane Commercial to leverage its expertise in cooling infrastructure.

Trane implemented a custom cooling solution using an IntelliPak™ Rooftop System with evaporative cooling and Rapid Restart™ controls. This innovative design resulted in a projected average annual PUE of 1.26, making it one of the most efficient data centers in the U.S. The system uses only 25% of the energy of a conventional system and reuses rainwater, significantly reducing both energy and water consumption for CoreSite.
