Clemson University, a South Carolina campus serving more than 17,000 students, needed a new energy plant for its West Campus athletics buildings that would be comfortable, highly reliable, and as efficient and sustainable as possible. Trane Commercial was selected to deliver a design/build chiller plant tailored to the site’s terrain and campus needs, using Trane® CenTraVac™ centrifugal chillers and related controls.

Trane Commercial provided a single-source design/build solution with optimized plant controls, standardized and redundant chiller equipment, and training for operators. The project delivered a modern high-quality chiller plant that fit the landscape, improved efficiency and operability, and was completed within budget in 270 days, with capacity for future campus growth.
