Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital worked with Trane Commercial to reduce utility and operating costs while supporting its mission of efficient patient care. The 703-bed hospital needed low-cost energy conservation measures to cut energy use and carbon footprint without disrupting daily operations, and it turned to Trane’s high performance building services and building automation expertise.

Trane Commercial developed an annual performance-based service partnership with CRMH, identified and implemented more than 25 ECMs, and installed TR200 Series variable frequency drives along with Tracer Summit BAS, Tracer ES software, and active monitoring. The result was $273,778 in first-year energy savings, more than 2,214 tons of CO2 reduced, and ongoing tracking and training that improved operational decision-making and sustained performance gains.
