L.A. Food Bank helps volunteer teams work safely with Trakstar Learn

L.A. Food Bank, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, needed a better way to train and certify staff from more than 400 partner agencies on annual food safety requirements. Its existing in-person training model made scheduling difficult for volunteer-run agencies and limited certification to only a small number of people per agency. The nonprofit turned to Trakstar Learn to make training more accessible and flexible.

With Trakstar, L.A. Food Bank delivered online food safety training that staff could complete anytime, anywhere, using existing materials such as PowerPoints, Word documents, videos, and PDFs. The system automatically tested and certified successful trainees, helping the organization train more than 200 partner agency staff members, reduce in-person training bottlenecks, and save significant time and planning resources.
