A Trakstar Learn Case Study
Kofax, a global software company later acquired by Lexmark, faced a scalability and cost problem: traditional in-person classroom training cost about $95 per training hour, was hard to measure, and could not keep up with rapid growth. The newly appointed VP of Field Enablement needed a fast, low-cost solution that would improve accountability and knowledge transfer without a lengthy, expensive LMS implementation.
Kofax adopted Mindflash and a six-step, rapid course-creation process to build e-learning more efficiently, cutting development to roughly 23 hours per training hour and lowering average course costs to about $2,000–$5,000. The shift produced 5–8 new courses per quarter, enabled 1,500 partners to complete over 50,000 courses, reduced training costs by 80% to about $20/hour, and allowed Kofax to deliver far more measurable, effective training to its stakeholders.
