Big Ass Fans, a Lexington-based designer and manufacturer of large HVLS ceiling and vertical fans, grew rapidly—doubling staff over five years and expanding distribution—just as it prepared to launch a redesigned product line in four months. Training had been informal and on-the-job, so the company hired a Learning Manager to find a secure, easy-to-deploy solution that would scale with new hires and meet the tight deadline.
They implemented Mindflash, converting existing PowerPoints, videos and documents into online courses created well ahead of launch for product lines, installation, onboarding and even select international distributors. With roughly 200 active trainees, Mindflash became core to onboarding; employees are better prepared to serve customers, managers spend far less time on basic training, and the team can now launch new training programs they previously lacked time for.
