A Trakstar Hire Case Study

Preview of the Concern Worldwide Case Study

Concern Worldwide - Customer Case Study

The Program on Humanitarian Leadership (PHL), led by Concern Worldwide in partnership with organizations including the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, provides intensive training and mentoring for humanitarian professionals. Faced with surging interest — roughly 750 applicants in its first year and more than 1,500 for 37 places in the next cycle — the program struggled with a slow, manual application process (previously Word docs and attachments) and needed a way to fairly screen a large, global pool while ensuring a diverse mix of skills and geographies.

PHL adopted Recruiterbox to manage applications, using labels and “yes/maybe/no” buckets to flag attributes, then conducted Skype interviews, ranked finalists, and convened the team to finalize a balanced cohort. The new workflow let them efficiently process thousands of submissions, select a diverse group of participants, run an additional in-person round they otherwise couldn’t have managed, and prepare to scale the program further with an upcoming online offering.
