Scottish Power, one of the UK's leading energy suppliers, sought a telematics solution to improve driver performance and safety across its large fleet while demonstrating a clear return on investment. The company partnered with vendor Trakm8 to address this challenge.

Trakm8 equipped the entire fleet with an in-cab driver feedback device to monitor performance. Following a benchmarking period, the system went live and provided drivers with scores on their driving behavior. As a result, Scottish Power achieved a 10% increase in mileage for the same amount of fuel and a 19% reduction in idling. Trakm8's solution also led to a 13% decline in speeding events, significantly enhancing safety and efficiency.
