Case Study: City of Hazleton achieves streamlined code enforcement and faster permitting with TRAISR

Hazleton uses TRAISR primarily to manage their Code Enforcement and Permitting processes

The City of Hazleton in Luzerne County, PA engaged TRAISR to modernize its Code Enforcement and Permitting operations. Using TRAISR’s Permit Centrl (alongside Asset Centrl and Work Centrl), the City extended permitting beyond construction to track parking permits, rental property licensing and inspections, solicitors, work authorizations, code violations and citations, and animal permits. Key challenges were implementing a technology solution where none existed, improving code violation and inspection tracking, and sharing data across departments to support field staff who perform multiple roles.

TRAISR delivered a web-based GIS and asset management solution that integrated parcel/land use, construction permitting and code enforcement workflows. The platform gave Hazleton staff quick access to code records by address or ID, expedited service and response, and enabled geographic assignment of work to minimize cross-town travel; as a result, TRAISR measurably improved the City of Hazleton’s operational efficiency and responsiveness.
