Scaling Training To Support a Fast-Growing Startup

Webgility, a fast-growing startup that syncs eCommerce platforms with accounting software, struggled to scale training as it brought in hundreds of new customers each month. Training was fragmented across Google Docs and Sheets and had to be delivered remotely to large subsidiary teams in India, creating a bottleneck to faster growth — so Webgility turned to the onboarding and training platform Trainual.

Trainual was implemented by Webgility’s Sales and Customer Success teams in about a month to create organized, self‑guided courses with tests and badges for both internal and external employees. The platform let Webgility scale headcount (in‑house from 25 to over 40 in under a year and bringing on ~50 subsidiary hires), maintain record sales quarter over quarter, avoid hiring dedicated training managers, reduce training costs, and support new partnerships with BigCommerce and Intuit — all while enabling fully remote, trackable onboarding via Trainual.
