A Tradeshift Case Study

Soaring towards a networked Global Supply Chain Unlocking the potential of the procure-to-pay network

This global consumer goods company — with 300+ brands and a presence in 100 countries — began an Accounts Payable automation program to reduce AP support burden and give its vast supplier base timely invoice visibility. It quickly realized the bigger challenge was a fragmented network: to unlock procurement value it needed to connect suppliers, banks and other supply‑chain partners into a single digital platform.

Using Tradeshift Pay and a supplier‑first onboarding model (free to connect), the company now e‑invoices across 100+ organizations and 360 legal entities in 33 countries. Supplier activations rose from 9,500 in month one to nearly 20,000 (about 62% of in‑scope invoice volume), driving a sharp drop in matching discrepancies and support queries, streamlined shared services, and new working‑capital opportunities (early payments, dynamic discounts and supply‑chain finance pilots with HSBC and JP Morgan), while paving the way for procurement and responsible‑sourcing apps.
