Eberspächer Accelerates Global Invoicing Processes with Tradeshift

Eberspächer, a global automotive supplier active in 60 locations across 25 countries, was processing over half a million paper invoices a year and struggled with slow, semi-automatic scanning-based workflows. The company needed a high-availability, globally compatible e-invoicing solution that would standardize interfaces, reduce manual effort, and make supplier onboarding simple across diverse IT systems and legal regimes.

Eberspächer implemented Tradeshift beginning with a March 2016 pilot of 700 suppliers, using automated email onboarding, CloudScan for digitizing invoices and platform validation rules to catch errors before they hit internal systems. As a result, one third of pilot partners have switched to Tradeshift (about 40% of those regularly invoice through it), delivering automated invoice receipt, higher data quality, lower costs, shorter lead times, reduced discount losses, standardized global processes and improved supplier satisfaction.
