A Traction Rec Case Study
JCC Chicago, a community organization serving 65,000 individuals through various centers and camps, faced a challenge with its financial assistance program. The process was inefficient, taking up to six weeks, and relied on a rigid system that only considered household income and size. This inflexible approach risked overlooking families in unique or extenuating financial circumstances who were on the cusp of qualifying for aid.
Traction Rec implemented a solution built on the Salesforce platform, following a crawl, walk, run methodology. This involved moving from disjointed spreadsheets to a centralized system with custom objects, automated workflows, and data dashboards. The solution provided data-driven recommendations for each case and streamlined the entire administrative process. As a result, Traction Rec helped JCC Chicago achieve a 67% decrease in application turnaround time, a 50% reduction in time spent on administration, and allowed 400 families to receive support. The data analysis also enabled the JCC to intentionally adjust its eligibility guidelines to help more families in need.
