Using TracPlus and RockSTAR, SDG&E tracks field crews, contractors, helicopters, and UAS drone teams, while also using the device’s messaging feature to stay connected without cellular coverage. The portable, rugged units support 24/7 monitoring and emergency distress signaling, helping the company maintain safe helicopter-and-drone separation and better situational awareness across operations. TracPlus enabled SDG&E to streamline operations and improve safety for its teams, though no specific quantitative results were provided.
