Lynden Air Cargo expands global operations across 45 countries with TracPlus

Lynden Air Cargo, a global air cargo operator based in Alaska, faced a significant challenge in maintaining reliable communications and flight tracking for its pilots operating in extremely remote and cellularly barren locations worldwide. They approached vendor TracPlus and its partner Flightcell in search of a seamless solution for tracking, voice, and unrestricted email communications to and from the cockpit to ensure the safety and success of their mission-critical operations.

The solution implemented by TracPlus involved upgrading Lynden's entire fleet with Flightcell DZMx units, configured for worldwide coverage using both Iridium satellite and cellular networks. In partnership with TracPlus Global, new software was developed to allow for the transmission of large emails over satellite. The result was rock-solid, reliable flight tracking and successful communication of large text emails to onboard smart devices in the most demanding environments, with plans to further utilize the system for sending pre-formatted reports from the aircraft.
