Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) required a new CAFM and facilities management software to manage its over 30 diverse sites, which include historic and complex modern buildings. After using several systems with limited success, RCSI was drawn to Trackplan Software Ltd’s CAFM solution for its intuitive interface, powerful features like electronic forms, and the vendor's commitment to continual improvement.

Trackplan’s solution was implemented in 2021 and was configured by RCSI with the vendor's guidance. The software now handles over 500 reactive jobs and 58 planned maintenance schedules monthly. It features advanced contractor management with QR codes and a portal for over 300 contractors, alongside electronic permit-to-work forms and automated job routing. Trackplan provided a highly configurable platform that has become integral to RCSI's daily operations, enhancing service delivery and allowing for the digitization of numerous procedures.
