Public Media Group of Southern California (PMGSC), the parent company of PBS SoCal and KCET, needed a simple, flexible, and cost-effective solution for migrating its media assets from on-premise storage to the cloud. They partnered with TrackIt to help implement a new workflow to move content to AWS, aiming to minimize high ingest and archive costs associated with their existing Sony Ci media management service.

TrackIt designed and implemented a custom AWS workflow utilizing S3, S3 Glacier Deep Archive, and Lambda functions to intelligently manage media based on bitrate. This solution streamlined the media workflow, successfully facilitating the movement of assets to the AWS cloud and Sony Ci while reducing storage costs.
