Library Streamlines Volunteer Tracking with Check-In Kiosk

East Lake Community Library, a community library in Palm Harbor, Florida, needed a better way to manage a growing volunteer program and move away from paper-based hour tracking. As volunteer coordinator Mirant Vyas expanded volunteer opportunities across library operations, children’s services, teen tech, and fundraising, the library looked for a digital solution and adopted Track it Forward.

Track it Forward helped East Lake Community Library go completely paperless for volunteer hour tracking by using the check-in kiosk, SMS texting, milestones, and reporting tools. Volunteers now sign in and out easily, hours are logged automatically, and admins can send reminders and monitor progress toward requirements such as the 10-hour background-check threshold. The result has been simpler management, better communication, and stronger volunteer engagement.
