A Track it Forward Case Study
North Star Academy, a public charter school in Parker, Colorado, needed a reliable way to manage an intensive parent volunteer program in which each family must complete 40 hours per school year (20 hours for single parents). Manual processes—a giant binder and paper traffic logs—and previous time‑tracking solutions couldn't handle daily volunteer volume or the reporting requirements for the district and board, so the school turned to time‑tracking software Track It Forward.
Track It Forward delivered a mobile app, onsite check‑in kiosks, Milestones tracking and automated reporting with supervisor approval, making it easy for parents to log hours and for staff to run regular reports. As a result, North Star Academy now consistently tracks and enforces the 40‑hour requirement, publicly recognizes “40 Hour Club” members on its website, and enjoys streamlined, daily use of Track It Forward for reliable data and simplified administration.
