Case Study: Assistance League of Newport-Mesa achieves time savings and streamlined volunteer tracking with Track It Forward

A Track it Forward Case Study

Preview of the Assistance League Case Study

Chapter Organization Uses Track It Forward to Save Time With Volunteer Data Input and Organize Volunteer Activities

Assistance League of Newport-Mesa, a chapter of the national Assistance League with about 250 member volunteers plus community and Assisteens participants, needed a better way to track and report volunteer hours across multiple programs (Thrift Shop, Operation School Bell, Cheri Harris Dental Center, Kids on the Block, etc.). Their old paper-and-spreadsheet workflow required quarterly committee days to compile data, didn’t easily separate service vs. administrative hours, and made it hard to produce the program-level and annual reports required for national reporting, 501(c)(3) compliance, donor transparency, and GuideStar recognition.

Track It Forward delivered a web-based platform and mobile app so volunteers log hours into activity-specific dropdowns and administrators can run instant, downloadable reports (including grade-sorted Assisteens reports); the chapter piloted with 20 volunteers before full rollout. Using Track It Forward eliminated the labor-intensive quarterly data entry, significantly reduced the time staff and volunteers spend compiling reports for ~250 volunteers, and enabled quick, accurate program-level and annual reporting for the national organization, donors, and GuideStar.
