Large maps 37,000 tire supply plots with TraceX for EUDR compliance

A leading global tire manufacturing company faced significant challenges in complying with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) for its natural rubber supply chain. Sourcing from thousands of smallholder farms across six suppliers, the company struggled with fragmented, paper-based records and a lack of precise geolocation data required by the new rules. Partnering with TraceX, it sought a solution to map its supply chain at the polygon level to avoid the risk of rejected due diligence statements and potential loss of EU market access.

TraceX implemented its EUDR geo-mapping solution, which involved the large-scale digitization of approximately 37,000 farm plots covering 160,000 hectares. The solution provided four core controls: GPS-verified polygon mapping, supplier data consolidation, deforestation cut-off validation using satellite data, and volume-to-plot reconciliation. This enabled the tire company to achieve full polygon-level compliance aligned with EUDR requirements. The results included a fully validated and audit-ready supply chain, strengthened supplier accountability, and secured long-term access to the European market.
