Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a leading manufacturer of polymer-based precision seals, needed to respond to growing customer demand for downloadable CAD data alongside its products. In 2003, the company chose TraceParts to help create an online CAD catalog that could be delivered on both the web and CD, while matching its corporate look and meeting strict technical requirements for accurate seal geometry and clearance representation.

TraceParts built a highly detailed, web-based My TraceParts solution that let users access CAD data by product number, view it in the customer’s branded environment, and download or email files for easy use in designs. The solution went live on the web by January 2004 and on CD in April 2004, and Trelleborg Sealing Solutions reported strong user feedback, on-time delivery, and a seamless integration that made it feel as though customers never left its website.
