INA-Schaeffler KG, part of the Schaeffler Group, needed a better way to provide design engineers with easy access to product information and 3D CAD data for its bearings and other components. Its in-house process for maintaining, converting, and publishing CAD models was time-consuming, and the company wanted a global, reliable way to support customers and improve product discovery online. TraceParts and its EasyLink content syndication solution were chosen to help address this challenge.

TraceParts implemented an Internet-based CAD library and content platform for INA-Schaeffler KG, including multilingual global access, direct insertion into major CAD systems, regularly updated CD catalogs, and integration of calculation and lubricant information. The result was a more efficient way to deliver CAD data worldwide, better customer service, and stronger online visibility through the TraceParts portal. INA also reported that its website was receiving between 6,000 and 7,000 CAD requests per day, and TraceParts became an important marketing multiplier and global distribution channel for its products.
