FACOM offers a new key to productivity

Facom, a manufacturer of professional tools for automotive, aeronautical, mechanical, and maintenance industries, wanted to help customers design and plan maintenance work earlier in the process. The company needed a way to provide CAD models of its tools so engineers and methods teams could evaluate access, handling, and tool selection in virtual mock-ups. Facom partnered with TraceParts to make its tool library available online.

TraceParts implemented an online CAD library for Facom on traceparts.com, starting with key ranges such as wrenches, ratchets, sockets, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers, with more products to be added over time. The solution was quickly deployed and improved usability for customers, helping Facom generate more sales opportunities within a year of launch and strengthen relationships with partners who used the models to recommend Facom tools to their own customers.
