COVAL, a French manufacturer of vacuum handling system components, faced a challenge in efficiently providing 3D CAD models of its extensive product catalog to its international customers. The process was time-consuming for their engineering department and they struggled to supply the wide variety of file formats requested. To address this, they turned to the vendor TraceParts and its online CAD content services.

TraceParts implemented a solution by creating and hosting COVAL's entire library of 2,500 part numbers on the TraceParts portal. This made the models available in multiple CAD formats and languages worldwide. The results were highly successful, lifting a huge weight from COVAL's engineering department. The portal now accounts for 35% of all user access to COVAL's components, a figure that is even higher when excluding France, directly supporting the company's international growth strategy.
