Case Study: Riot Games strengthens detection across AWS with Tracebit

A Tracebit Case Study

Preview of the Riot Games Case Study

Riot Games adopts Tracebit to help protect more than 180 million active monthly players

Riot Games, responsible for protecting the technology ecosystem supporting over 180 million active players, needed to deploy deception technology across its vast and complex AWS infrastructure. The internal effort to manually scale canaries was estimated to take a full year. They partnered with Tracebit to leverage its automated canary orchestration platform for a more efficient solution.

The Tracebit platform automated the deployment of thousands of canaries across hundreds of AWS accounts in just weeks, saving significant engineering time. The solution proved its value by detecting 2 out of 2 third-party red team exercises and was integrated into existing security workflows with minimal disruption to engineering teams. Riot Games continues to adopt new Tracebit features, confident in the platform's ability to help them stay ahead of evolving threats.
