Carbery Group Robots help accelerate dairy produce from farm to plate

Carbery Group, a global food manufacturer owned by Irish farmers, faced operational inefficiencies due to highly manual financial processes. To tackle this as part of its digital transformation, the company engaged vendor Tquila Automation to implement a robotic process automation (RPA) solution using UiPath technology. The initial challenge was an onerous, manually-intensive vendor statement reconciliation that took one employee up to eight days per month to complete.

The solution implemented by Tquila Automation centered on an initial proof-of-concept robot that automated the statement reconciliation process, slashing the task time to just 1.5 days a month. This success led to a wider rollout of over 30 automated processes across the global business. The results were impressive, removing thousands of hours of manual work, improving data accuracy for multi-million euro costs, and freeing staff to focus on higher-value activities. Carbery Group now has a scalable RPA program managed by a Centre of Excellence, built with the ongoing support and expertise of Tquila Automation.
