TP-LINK Provides Wireless Coverage to Economy Hotels in Colombia

Hotel Mary, a 75-room economy hotel in Cucuta, Norte de Santander, Colombia, needed to replace its outdated wireless network after persistent dropped connections, dead zones, weak capacity, and difficult management were hurting guest satisfaction and online reviews. TP-Link stepped in with its EAP wireless solution to deliver better coverage, reliability, centralized control, and a design that would fit the hotel’s interior.

TP-Link implemented 13 EAP120 access points, one TL-SF1048 switch, and the EAP Controller management platform, along with captive portal guest authentication and voucher-based access. The new setup provided full wireless coverage across the two-floor hotel and all guest rooms, supported the hotel’s 5 Mbps internet connection, and improved service quality so much that 100% of staff reported better internet service.
